Air Pollution Essay - 1203 Words
Air pollution can be described as any contaminate of the atmosphere that disturbs the natural composition and chemistry of the air. This can be in the form of particulate matter such as dust, or excessive gases like carbon dioxide or other vapors. These pollutants can occur naturally, or are the product of human activities. The air that we breathe is filled with substances that are hazardous to our health. Some contaminates can be noticed because of an odor, where some cannot because they are odorless. Nitrogen dioxide is one of a group of highly reactive gasses known as nitrogen oxides (NOx). Other nitrogen oxides include nitrous acid and nitric acid. The EPAââ¬â¢s National Ambient Air Quality Standard covers this entire group of NOx, but NO2 is the component of greatest interest and the indicator for the larger group of nitrogen oxides. NO2 forms quickly from emissions from cars, trucks and buses, power plants, and off-road equipment. In addition, this gas contributes to the formation of ground-level ozone, and fine particle pollution. These small particles penetrate deeply into sensitive parts of the lungs and can cause or worsen respiratory disease, such as emphysema and bronchitis, and can aggravate existing heart disease. (Pollution A to Z, 2004) Sulfur dioxide (SO2) is one of a group of highly reactive gasses. Get ready to learn some stuff we didnââ¬â¢t know. State Laws That Contradict Federal Laws A very important state law that contradicts federal law is the prescribed marijuana. In some states they have legalized it for people that have health problems than again whatââ¬â¢s the point of having a state law that allows you to prescribe marijuana when FBl can arrest you for violating the Federal law. How can they allow it in some states when itââ¬â¢s supposed to be a drug and is prohibited and against all law to have it or consume it? We have seen many issues that have happened when it comes to this like people making fake prescriptions to obtain it and the sale of it. It has been something we have tried to battle against and the police and states try to end but how can they end something when is the own state thatââ¬â¢s the approving the legalization. Many people are confused about the legality of medical access to marijuana. First text from online site (First and foremost:à Marijuana, forà anyà use,à is illegal under federal law. Even if you live in a state that has enacted legislation or passed a ballot initiative that recognizes marijuanaââ¬â¢s medical utility you are subject to arrest by federal officials for possession or cultivation of marijuana. (Based on this we see that the text is saying that it is illegal under federal law even if u lived in a state where it is legal you would need a ballot or an ID of authorization. I think this is a good way of keeping it from going into the wrong hands but yet there are always ways people forfeit documents and make fake prescriptions to get that Id there should be more ways of verification. ) Federal Laws: The Controlled Substances Act classifies cannabis as a Schedule I drug and defines it as a drug ââ¬Å"with no accepted medical value in treatment. â⬠Despite its long history of use as a medication, cannabis is classified as a ââ¬Å"new drugâ⬠and legal access is only possible through an Investigational New Drug Application (IND) issued by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This helps to see the medical past of the person asking for the drug even though people use it as a pain reliever they should do this drug for people that have very severe drug issues. What do you think should they give it to any sick person or to the ones that have really severe illnesses? ) State Laws: Beginning in 1978, the states began responding to pleas from the ser iously ill for legal access to marijuana for medical purposes. Thirty-four statesà have enacted laws which recognize marijuanaââ¬â¢s medical value. Many of these laws authorized state research programs which would allow citizens to gain legal access to marijuana. Several states developed complicated research programs which gave their citizens limited access to legal supplies of medical marijuana. These programs were short-lived, however. Complex federal regulations and the continuous intervention of federal officials made such programs too difficult for most states to administer. This state law has many different views and sides you can take. Like you can be in favor of allowing it yet you can also be against. So here is the question which one should we fallow? Based on the supremacy claw if the state law contradicts the federal law you have to fallow the federal law so if we fallow the federal law that means that any patient with severe illness and who passes approbation of his/her application should get the illegal drug than again only if passed investigation (IND: Investigational New Drug Application) What happens if someone violates the law? If state has there different laws and penalties and regulations that occur when violating their terms or abusing there. The various virtual communication methods which will be used to co-ordinate with the team members are described below: VoIP: This is an effective virtual communication method and it helps in reducing the cost of business. This will be beneficial for Hytrans because it will allow communicating to the other team members instantly at a reduced cost. Tele and Videoconferencing: This mode of communication will help to build strong relationship with the clients and the co-workers who are working across the globe. The advantage of the cloud technology in videoconferencing will help to build reliable and effective communication with the team members (Denis, Palen and Anderson 2014). Social Media- Social networking sites has also helped in the conversation between B2Bs and B2Cs. The chat option available in Face book, Twitter and Whatsapp will make the communication easier. These are considered as one of the most important and vital method of keeping a track of the employees on real time basis (Ferreira et al. 2015). There are certain basic differences between virtual communication plan and traditional communication plan which are described below: The face-to-face communication is not possible in virtual communication which may lead to boredom and isolation of the employees. It becomes important for the management members to check the time management and work culture of the employees. Moreover, in virtual teams, the employees have very less information and updates on the projects if they do not work on real time basis. The team members in the traditional team meet each other and they build rapport and social bonding among themselves. This is not possible in virtual teams (Przybylski and Weinstein 2013). ace-to-face communication will help to build strong relationship among the team members and help in the smooth running in the project. It will also help in the bonding between the clients and the team members. Face-to-face communication will also help to read the non-verbal cues of the employees which are very important in business. It will also help to resolve the misunderstanding and conflicts among the employees which may arise if there is no interaction among the team members (Shalom et al. 2015). It will also help to build comfort level with the team members and co-workers. In certain cases, it is seen that when the team members needs some help, sending an e-mail may not help him/her in the way which is possible through face-to-face interaction. Face-to-face communication will build loyalty and confidence among the team members. The confidence level in certain times helps in providing apology or appreciation. Thus, it can be said that face-to-face communication is important for effective communication among the team members (Drago 2015). Being a team member, there are various options available in virtual communication if it is not possible to meet the person. Skype is considered as one of the best virtual meeting technology which widely used by the business professionals. Skype helps to collaborate with the team members across the globe in the same time and it is easy and cost effective. Watchitoo, Infinite and Zoho Meeting are the various web enabled video conferencing which also performs the same function unlike Skype (Wright et al.2013).
